AVG 7.0 Free Editionになってからは、メモリを多く消費するようになりましたので、サーバー機にインストールする場合は、注意が必要です。（私のWindows2000のサーバーは、メモリが256MBですから、サービス動作を停止させました。）

1. 抗ウィルスソフトの導入

メールウェア（メール登録が必要なフリーソフト）ですが、Anti-Virus Protection!(AVG X.0 Free Edition.)というのがあります。このページの一番上の「Download AVG Free Edition.」の押しボタンを押してダウンロードしたところ、2001年11月21日現在、バージョンは、6．0．298で、ファイル名は、「avg6298fu．exe」、ファイルのサイズは、5,142,528 バイトで、かなり混んでいました。導入に当たってのご参考までに以下に設定例を示します。基本的に設定は、インストールしただけで、そのままご使用できます。この様なソフトは、最初は無料なんですが、何ヶ月かすると途中から、有料になる場合が多いですから、その覚悟で使用しましょう。使用される場合は、メールアドレスもhotmail等の無料メールアドレスを新規に取得し、そのメールアドレスで登録しましょう。

私は日本語化せずに使用しています。このソフトの日本語化パッチについては、廃屋さんのウィルス・スパイ対策をご一読願います。
